You can turn off the application firewall via your control panel, under security tab.

There isn't anything under the security section in the control panel that says anything about a Firewall of any kind. What exactly am I supposed to look for once I click the Security Link?

Had the same problem, solved it by going to the control panel ->security->security guard and turned it off for the website giving the trouble and voila it worked. I also opened a ticket with the helpdesk as I don't feel 'safe' turning the security guard feature off. Will update you guys 'if' they give me an alternative.

Disabling all of that security is not really a solution though. Over one year i've had no problems but then after I was switched to "Raven", I've had dns issues and now lots of my clients are unable to access my site from their phone (they get the application firewall alert). Webhost4life quality is going down the tubes. I've had to disable to the security on my site as well. Thanks a lot WH4L :(

If i hear anything from them I'll post it here.

If you are running a Dotnetsite, you won't need it.  The security guard is used for imagine hotlinking and to block different kind script attacks which DNN doesn't have any security issue with that.  So go ahead and turn it off for DNN site.

If you want, post your URL here and I can double check for you as well.

I'm not running a DNN site; I stumbled upon this particular post via search and didn't read the category, I just read "Application Firewall Alert". My site is geared towards mobile phones as is written in HTML with just one asp page. I had no problems until recently when certain devices (T-Mobile Wing and Blackberry for sure) would recieve the application firewall alert even when just trying to load the main page. It worked fine from computers so I assume the security guard was overzealous and incorrectly analyzed the headers or misinterpreted them. I was told by the helpdesk "too bad, so sad" in a few more words. The site worked fine for everyone and every device for over a year but now i have this issue.... Apparently this problem can't be fixed, according to the helpdesk.

Sure, its mobile.surrealnetworks.com The problem occurs when browsing from some mobile devices. The security guard is currently disabled - should I enable it for you or can you start the work around before I enable it? Thanks!

You may want to test your mobile site at http://ready.mobi/ in order to test your code.

I'm also experiencing this problem - the Firewall is stopping users from selecting this calendar file we've made, but only via the javascript window.open command.  If you hit the file it's trying to pull open on your own, it's fine.

http://www.techselect.ca/testcalendar.html

Please, let us turn off this "feature"

You can turn it off via your control panel->security->security guard.

How do you generate the firewall error?  Do you have a URL that I can test to see if I can fix this for you?

#1 Read the Post - the URL was right there for you

#2 - Your security guard gives the option for techselect.ca, which I turned off.  That didn't work.  But in the interest of trying something else, I cut off the www prefix in my url and tried it and it did work - which is no good to me since people are going to resolve to www

Fix your security guard program so that you can turn off www if you need to, or have the bsae domain also work for the default www prefix.
