06-14-2008, 8:31 AM HOPS Joined on 03-30-2008 Posts 7 ZIP SQL bak file Anyone know if it's possible to zip the BAK file before download? SQL BAK files are typically very sparse with lots of free space and then often zip to a fraction of the original size. Would really speed up downloading/uploading a backup. Cheers, Rob.    Report
