Running multiple portals

I want to add a new domain to an existing DNN site as a separate portal. Can I do this by using the "add a domain to existing website" option instead of the "add a new site" option? It works fine when using the "add a new site" option but when I try the "existing website" option I get a general website error when I navigate to the site. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it is just not supported.

If you do add to site, then you'll need to setup your DNN to first have a new sub portal. And then in your DNN , setup the URL that you want to use for that sub portal.
