It was actually the terms of service agreement that made the biggest impact on my choice to use WH4L. After reading far too many TOS agreements that were 20+ pages long with a bunch of conditions that I think could only be accepted by someone who never read or understood them, the down to earth 3 page TOS of WH4L was a great thing to find. The next big reason for me was the unlimited bandwidth. My site has never come close to the limits offered by most hosting companies, but when the day comes that my URL is mentioned in a magazine article or other mass media outlet I don't have to worry about missing a mortgage payment because of huge bandwidth overage charges. The performance has been great. I have a friend who chose GoDaddy as his host about the same time I was selecting WH4L. I have 5 times the graphic content he has, and my pages load at least 3 times faster than his. The friendly community support in this forum, as I have recently discovered, is yet another reason to select WH4L as my favorite host.    Report

My previous host did not support .NET or anything else Microsoft. Price was also a factor in my choice but not the deciding factor. WebHost4Life prices are better than those of my previous hosting company.    Report

Webhost4life was my favoriate web host because it seemed you guys did not hit the users with lots of extra charges like the others. One area for improvement is to make the admin interfaces easiser to use and another is to make the pricing simplier to understand.  I thought that all my domain names could be rooted under their own directory on my account but it does not seem that I can do that without payng 15.00 extra for each one each year. How do I get my free web account and how long is it free?    Report

The plethora of features are impossible to find on another host. The range of options allows for bespoke website design with incredible flexibility and the ability to email W4L's CEO! Of note in the features list are the dbs available, my/ms SQL, access; PHP/.NET support, included scripts (which are great starting points), and all of the pre-installed components. Go ahead and try to find as comprehensive of a list on another server. They're usually pathetic! I have also experienced great support from the W4L staff. Have never been disappointed with the results. The aforementioned unlimited bandwith for the "magazine" day is something we all look forward to, and will be prepared for thanks to W4L!    Report

Well, either someone else has access to his e-mail account or he has deleted the e-mail accidently. He should be able to restore the e-mail by using a recovery tool such as Restoration.exe. To me as a developer it's the rich set of features that makes hosting at WH4L so attractive. Everything from asp.NET to Sharepoint and from mySQL to MS SQL Server is included at an affordable price. Whenever I requested support at WH4L I've got a first response within minutes and my problems got solved by professionals in a timely manner. Even I've been a happy customer for years there are still some improvemants that can be done: 1) I find the control panel a littly bit messy and think improvement is overdue. 2) I'm aware that I'm responsable for the backup of my data. However, I lost my Sharepoint data twice, because there is no option to get them backed up. Web Host 4 Life = Web hosting I can afford! Thank you guys. Continue the good job!    Report

There are a lot of reasons that WH4L stuck out to me: The control panel - much more control available than on other hosts Having direct access to my DNS settings is a major plus Flexibility to use both .Net/MS-SQL and/or PHP/Perl/MySQL on one plan A great webmail client and Outlook sync, even though I generally use Google Apps for Your Domain Not to mention...the price Responsive support Automatic installation of DNN My one complaint has been disappointing .Net application compile times.  Performance after compilation is generally good, but knowing that a guest or customer will have to wait up to 45 seconds sometimes is a definite drawback. I've run into several companies that give you limited or no control. Having to call tech support every time I need a small change terrible. Pricing is great Love having my data on the SAN Control of IIS, ASP.Net and everything else Tech support has been very helpful and quick to respond Having automatic program installs, both ASP.Net and PHP web applications Unlimited Bandwith SQL server built into the price Simple hosting packages Lots of email space and being able to set the size of each mailbox Low priced SSL certificates Online sql manager The control panel is great, simple to set file security and manage files Latest .net technology Probably more stuff that I can't think of This Forum I've been signing up any of my customers that need a new hosting service or don't like their existing service. I would like to see more installable asp.net applications. Some of the current ones are really old, I'm not saying to get rid of them but you may look into newer applications as alternates to some of the older programs. Thanks, JefferyS    Report
