I do believe that this has already been answered. Not only do they have 2008/IIS7 available on their order page, but they have said it was available.

I had seen it on the front page, but got a contradictory answer from customer support. However, I just got the confirmation. And yes, thanks for helping 'admin' out. Thumbs up.

It's there already. You can request for a migration to the 2008 server. However, we do charge $20 for manual migration.

Yeah, thanks! I'm already on a Windows 2008 server!
Now, I'm waiting since more than 36 hours that you guys get the control panel fixed (no IIS access, DNS editor bug [one cannot add DomainKeys because the DNS editor does not allow VALID equal signs as well as VALID plus signs!], NO webstats, TEMP URL and SHARED SSL broken etc.), so I can enjoy Windows 2008. :)
However, I'm confident that you guys get it done before I die... :)
By the way, what's about the free hosting account for active forum members? I mean... June is past and I haven't heard anything.

Really? I put in a ticket and was told the only way that I could get on to a 2008 server is to Sign up a new account, pay 30$ to have my files migrated and then cancel the old account. Can someone please tell me the appropriate answer. i would appreciate it.

The thing is that you always get a different answer from the customer support... That's everywhere the same... You get what you have paid for. :)
However, I got my account migrated to Windows 2008 and after 45 hours without control panel functionality (it's all messed up), I hope the customer support guys get it fixed before I die.
I guess I do not have to pay the 20 bucks I was asked for the messy migration. :) Well, let's see...

Let us know how it turns out. I'm kinda waiting around to see if you get fixed up. Is your sites atleast working right now?

Yeah, the sites as well as the e-mail accounts weren't affected. It's just the control panel that got a hard hit. Erwin Yu e-mailed me that he got someone to take care of, so I'm confident. :)

Free hosting still there on monthly basis. Just that we can't give it to you every month =). Gotta let someone else have it =)

What's your member id? Let me check your CP for 2008. We have many customer on 2008 already, and I don't see any problems.

Thanks a bunch for showing up, admin.
Erwin Yu e-mailed me today that he now will take care of this issue personally -- since the customer support wasn't able to get it done until now. :)
And yes, I used to get paid for spending my time in support forums to help others out. Perhaps you should give away an additional account on a monthly basis, right? :)

phxpowered,
Finally... they got the most disturbing control panel bugs fixed, so I'm able to use the most important functions. I guess, the other bugs (probably related to some changes in Windows 2008) are getting fixed in the next couple of days. At least, I hope so... :)
However, it seems that opening a new account and migrating the old account is by far more painless. :)

Good to know. Thank you for updating me. I will probably be putting my ticket in for the migration some time this week.
