My installation of DNN 4 on WH4life is extreemly slow.  Is this a general problem?? or is there something that I can do to make it perform better??

All dnn sites we hosting are very fast, you should open a ticket and have a support staff check for you.

Hi,
We can try this:
HOST-->SQL--> select Run as Script and insert one by one this scripts:

(1) truncate table {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Eventlog

(2) truncate table {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SiteLog

(3) truncate table {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}ScheduleHistory

(4) truncate table {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItemWordPosition

Finally, delete the recycle bin and restart upgrade

I am having the same troubles...

Out of each 5 clicks on my site, I get either a blank page that says "Webhost4life Application Firewall Alert" or I get a page with image placeholders in place of all images. I did open a ticket 7 hours ago and haven't heard a thing.

Turn the firewall off.  It's not needed for any DNN sites.

Thankfully I have not received this error myself - but nor have I seen an option for enabling/disabling a firewall.  Is this only available on certain hosting packages?

You'll see it in controlpanel-> security->firewall  you can set it to high or medium

Thanks.  I just set it to medium myself to see if there is any increase in performance or drop in the occasional/random DNN/.Net/SQL error message.

So, medium = off?    :)    :)    Actually, that last post was a couple years old, so I'm sure the Security Guard has been updated since then...
